Dr. Joshua Jaeger grew up in Northern Minnesota where he competed in both Wrestling and Football. It was during his undergraduate years he found a fire for exercise and the proper muscle mechanics of the body. It was then that he discovered a balanced body, is a healthy body.

Graduating from Saint Cloud State University with a Bachelors in Community Health and Epidemiology he was accepted by Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN. Dr. Jaeger graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Northwestern in the Spring of 2018. He then met with Dr. Barr and purchased Barr Chiropractic and Sports Clinic in the early Winter of 2018.

Dr. Jaeger enjoys focusing on proper body mechanics and strengthening correct motion patterns to enable the body to heal and stabilize itself, through Chiropractic adjustments and rehabilitation of the body.

Dr. James Barr purchased his clinic in White Bear Lake, MN in the summer of 2009. Originally from Minneapolis, he spent 23 years practicing in northern Wisconsin in a community with a small town atmosphere. This made White Bear Lake an easy and welcomed transition. Fast forward nine years to November of 2018 when Dr. Barr and Dr. Jaeger meet. The two of them become fast friends and their partnership quickly blossoms. Barr Chiropractic and Sports Clinic turns into Helix Chiropractic and Sports Clinic. Dr. Jaeger is now a Doctor of Chiropractic and a business owner. Dr. Barr is now able to put all of his efforts into his passion, treating patients, along with more freedom to enjoy other interests.

Formerly the Team Chiropractor for the MN Swarm professional lacrosse team, Dr. Barr is a tri-athlete, Iron Man finisher, marathon runner and enjoys working with athletes and patients of all ages. He is a Certified Chiropractic Sport Physician, certified in Active Release Technique (a non invasive relaxation for muscles), and nutrition wellness.  Dr. Barr graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1987. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Chiropractic Physicians Association. Dr. Barr, father of five, lives in the Hugo area with his family and beautiful wife Diane, two cats named Sawyer and Hobbs, and their beloved Golden Retriever, Summer. He enjoys hockey, running, hunting, singing and playing guitar. “Dr. Jim” loves his family, friends, and patients. He believes in the healing art of chiropractic and finds reward in helping his patients live full and healthy lives. Dr. Barr is friendly and loves to share a few good laughs with his patients as well as provide expert care. 

Sherri Niemiec joined Barr Chiropractic in May of 2017 after returning to her family’s roots from a two year stint in Seattle. The plan was to work part-time for a bit while she and her husband and three-year-old son stayed with her in-laws in WBL as they were house-hunting. Even though they found a house in Blaine, Sherri still hasn’t left WBL and doesn’t plan on it anytime soon. Things fell into place for her at the clinic and she is excited about the clinic’s transition to Helix Chiropractic and the opportunity to help spread the word.
